More pictures of Edison time! Since the last post was his birthday, we had a lot of pictures to go through. In the last few months we took a trip to San Diego so Edison could meet 'the Great Mother', aka, his great grandmother. We took a bike ride along Lakeshore Drive in Chicago - when it was closed down to everything except cyclists. We also had a visit from his great-great aunt and uncle from New York, AND got to "meet" his new sibling on an ultrasound. Edison seems to be back in his element in the heat as well - running around naked, playing with hoses, keeping an eye out for construction sites, and generally having a good time.
The things he says now are pretty funny as well. He has most recently been requesting that we buy him a "real" excavator and a fire truck. The other day we had the following conversation while eating dinner:
E: Mommy, I want to eat YOUR meat.
M: Ok, hold on, I have to cut some.
E: Moooommmmyyyy, I want some!
M: Ok, just a minute.
E: Mommy! I want some! I want some! I want some! etc.
M: Ooookkaaaaayyyyyy.
E: I need a chill pill.
M: Yes, you do!
Another example while we were at the grocery - I got some chocolate milk to put in the cart:
E: Mommy, you need chocolate milk.
M: Yes, I'm getting some.
E: I drank ALLL of your chocolate milk.
M: What?! You drank all of it?
E: Mm hmm.
M: Edison, how could you drink all of it today?
E: I'm just teasing you mommy!
Perhaps this is giving you a sense of his personality....He seems to take great joy in trickery. I can't wait until he's 15 - ha!!
Ok - hope everyone's having a nice summer so far! On to the pictures...
