Edison's 16th week.

So we're back on track with the blog updates. Last week we were a little delayed because of an electrical issue - and Damon was too afraid to plug in his computer until we got new surge protectors (the other ones were charred - literally). Then the blog was updated while I was asleep (so no rambling commentary). But now we're back!

This week Edison has become very talkative - he gets in these moods where he jibbers and squeals a lot. He is also laughing more, and seems to have discovered his feet yesterday. We're trying to do our mom-baby yoga/pilates videos in the mornings as well (that's what we were doing in the first photo from last week - even though the hands look like Damon's, they're actually my manly hands). I'm pretty sure the babies they use in those videos do not weigh as much as Edison, but I guess my arms will just get that much stronger. Some days he really seems to like doing the videos, but others we have to modify the activities so he doesn't completely freak out.

Right now it's rainy season on Guam. And that means it rains a lot. There's also a pretty significant lack of breeze - so good thing we have the air conditioners! There have been several typhoons in the area already this season, I'm just hoping one doesn't actually hit Guam. I think those storms are causing all of the cloudy/rainy weather here though, which I actually don't mind since it keeps it cooler.

Not much else to say. Edison is on my lap watching me write this and he just pooped so I should go.

Last thing - good luck to all of the friends who are expecting babies this month!! I hope you have quick and easy labors and uncomplicated deliveries - I can't wait to see pictures of all the new babies!

Now on to the Edison photos for the week!

This outfit is worn in honor of swimsuits of the early 1900's.

A protective hat until more hair comes in.

Taking another dippy dip in the ocean.   Zeke stands guard for sharks this time.

These bamboo poles did the job in holding back this rock wall.

Even rocket scientists can be surprised.

Nappy time with a new frog.

A sunset debriefing after a muddy dog walk with Doug and Melissa.

Edison thinks he has found a larger milk source.

One step closer to "airplane".

Looking buff (and precious) during a nap.

"Hey dad, could you ask mom to fill this up with milk?"
