Well, after almost a month (as Aunt Sam informed me), we are finally getting around to updating the blog. We still haven't scanned in the photos from the company gala last month, but hopefully we'll get around to that sometime before summer.
Edison has been a continual source of entertainment as usual. He has attempted to take some steps solo - the first attempt was February 1st when he made 4 quick steps to me, then fell. No really steady steps yet though...so we'll keep practicing. We have lots of attempts on video - they will be sure to be edited into a montage of sorts one of these days.
I continue to think Edison might believe he is part dog. He regularly sticks his face in Zeke's water bowl, and tries to eat his food. He likes cat food too - I think he gets that from Damon. The believing he's a dog part is definitely inherited from me though. I'm pretty sure Zeke also thinks Edison is a dog, or at least believes they are equals on the status list here. Zeke clearly finds it unfair that Edison gets so many treats from the table...but is still willing to share his kibble.
I'm trying to think of any milestones....Edison's getting very good at mimicking us. He will copy most things we do - especially when it comes to facial expressions. A good example is the hide and seek game, which Damon has a link to at the end of the photos here.
Ok - onto the photos! And Damon's (occasionally irreverent) comments!
Edison sees and tries to touch fire for the first time.
Edison not upset about not being able to reach the gas pedals just yet.

Oh yes! Edison has his own water park now!
What were you just caught in the act of doing?
Edison and Zeke anxiously waiting for mommy to come home.
Isis dude, looking a little burned there...did you sneak out today? Where's the aloe?
Edison finds the forbidden fruit and totally loves it.
Nobody will remember what he was laughing at when this shot was taken.
Edison practicing to be poor.

"Yeah, I'm drinking and chilling at the pool...you wish you were me!"
Edison on the potty with food.
Ah, the enjoyment of pinching one off.
"Hey how is this ever going to make it out the other end?"
"Ta-Da!"
"Hey, did you guys know it is nice and cool in here...and holy cow there's lots of food!"
"I think I'm ready to imagine myself walking down these stairs."

Thanks for the update!! Edison looks great! Lucky dude to have his own waterpark on his patio!! We need one of those things!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Edison totally loves that pool - the only thing is that you have to put some type of cushioning under it, or else it's really hard if they slip...
