Almost One Year

In less than a week, we'll have a one year old on our hands! Unbelievable! To celebrate, Edison has two visitors coming to Guam - Pamma and Aunt Sam! We're still not sure what the celebration will entail, but since it's Earth Day, probably some environmentally friendly activity.

As usual, I think there have been several things I wanted to comment on since the last post, but since it's 6am, I'm drawing a blank. Edison is getting more babbly, and seems to have certain word-sounding vocalizations for certain items. Like his cup of water seems to be - bobble.

He also has some really preferred items, most of which are cleaning related things. For example, the spray bottles of cleaning fluid are really, really interesting to him. Good thing one of them is just vinegar, so he gets to carry it around sometimes. He also really likes brooms and brushes. This bodes well for me and my preference for a clean house...

Zeke and Edison are also getting better at playing chase. Edison steals Zeke's things, and likewise, and they run around the yard. The problem is that Zeke periodically eats Edison's belongings - clothes in particular, which is not good. So we're trying to watch the clothes more carefully now.

Edison is also learning to put things away. For example, he has learned that things are put in the refrigerator - like pieces of mail and tampons. Things also get put in the trash, like toys and pens. I'm just waiting to see what gets put in the toilet...

Edison also has his first dental appointment today. Daddy gets to take him solo - good luck Damon! Which reminds me, I'm supposed to be getting his stuff together before I go to work (at 7am)... I hope everyone is having a great spring so far! Birthday photos/videos coming soon!  In the mean time, hope you enjoy these photos and quick video of Edison's 1st year at the end.

Edison's new eating game makes eating more difficult.

Yes! He is finally leaving his sunnies on!

That's just the way it is.

Run for it! No urine sample for mommy!

Ahhh, chase in the pool...

it never gets old.

Neither do the waterfalls.

Posing underwater is something new.

He doesn't mind a bit.

Hmm, he doesn't seem to mind this either...

"What the hell is this?! Of course I do!"

We make sure Edison only plays with recycled toys.

Happy Easter little Edison Bunny!

"What's up with the making-me-look-ridiculous photos?"

Hanging with the monkey.

Edison's first time playing with shaving cream (and his first time playing with it on the potty).

The real reason we decided to have a kid (next, he'll learn how to shovel snow).
