The Wolf Brother's January Update

Daddy: (holding a bag of Sourpatch Kids) You can have 2.
Edison: I want that many (holding up some fingers)
Daddy: 3?
Edison: Yeah
Daddy: What flavors?
Edison: Blue, Red, Green Yellow and Blue
Daddy: That’s 5
Edison: I want 5.

Daddy: Please come here so I can put on your pants, we have to go.
Edison: No.
Daddy: If you come over here, you can have a cookie.
Edison: First give me a cookie.
Daddy: No, first you come put on your pants.
Edison: No.
Daddy: First pants.
Edison: First cookie.
Daddy: Pants, then cookie.
Edison: (ignores Daddy and continues to play)
Daddy: Edison, let's go!
Edison: (Continues to ignore Daddy until Daddy chases him down)

Edison ready to give his brother a surprise bounce.

Adlai's passport photo.

The construction worker snowman visits our house.

"Where are the marshmallows?  There's a fire, why don't we have marshmallows?"

Edison finds another fire in the house to put out.

One day I was doing laundry and left Adlai in his (empty) crib. I could hear Adlai crying from down the hall when suddenly the crying stopped. A minute later, Edison is standing next to me.
Me: Edison, why did Adlai stop crying?
E: I pacified him.
Expecting a bad scene, I went jogging down the hall to see what Edison meant by that. Only to find the above.

Adlai and Daddy brave the cold for a few moments to embrace a rare winter sunset.

Edison's first (and last) day of school.

"Call me RADlai."

"Yep, this is my fire extinguisher; it's kinda heavy."

The best offense during the winter is a good defense.

"Nothin, just chillin."

Taking a snooze.

Taking a look at the camera lens.

Edison holding on for dear life.

Edison goes off the beaten path (because it's covered in snow).

An Edisonicle.

A nice brotherly thaw after a deep freeze.
