Septemberness

Of course by now you have heard the exciting news that Edison will have a new companion joining in on this blogspot; but those pics are going to have to wait while we catch up with our older ones. Here are some of the final memories of Edison as an only sibling during September.

Daddy: “Where do we live”
EZ: Home
Daddy: Where is our home?
EZ: Zoschke road.

Mommy: What should the baby’s name be?
EZ: Dr. Seuss.

Daddy: Edison, you can’t come down to the road by yourself.
EZ: I was chasing zeke
Daddy: But it’s not safe for you to come down
EZ: But there were no cars coming.

EZ: Where are you going?
Mommy: I’m going to work
EZ: Stop going to work.

  (in the morning...)
Daddy: What were you dreaming about?
EZ: Mommy.
Daddy: What was mommy doing.
EZ: Feeding me cereal.
Daddy: Well then your dream came true!

(As mommy is sneaking a piece of candy)
EZ: "Mommy, what are you eating?"
  (she swallows it)
Mommy: "Nothing."
EZ: "Mommy, what are you swallowing?"

Mommy: I’m sick of the cats waking me up in the morning.
Daddy: Don’t you have to wake up early anyways?
Mommy: Not at 5:30 am.
Daddy: Just throw them off of you.
Mommy: I’ll just take out my giant sword to end their little lives.
EZ: “No, you don’t sword any cats!”

Mommy: Edison, aren’t you going to finish your cereal?
EZ: I’m putting it on pause.

EZ: (Watching Adlai sleep) What’s he dreaming about?
Mommy: I don’t know.
EZ: Probably bunk beds, and firefighters, and excavators, and firefighters, and bulldozers and front loaders.

"I love the Grand Mere beach!"

"Zeke, what are you looking at?"
